The Resistance against the Aging for the Matrix Phase in Cu-Al-Mn-Ti Shape Memory Alloys
The resistance against the aging for matrix phase in Cu-24Al-3Mn-2Ti alloy has been tested by bending test
X-ray diffraction
optical metalloscope and SEM and TEM in the conditions of different aging for matrix phase. The results indicate that with a given strain
shape memory effects (SME) are firstly decreased then increased with increasing in holding temperature
in which the desirable SME can be observed at 400 ℃ and the most un-desirable SME can be found at 500 ℃. The SME can exhibit first increase then decrease with increasing in holding time
which shows slow decrease at 400 ℃ and somewhat rapid decrease at 500 ℃. The microstructure of the alloy can be refined with the Mn and Ti addition due to the creation of Mn-enrichment and Ti-enrichment phase
which can strengthen the microstructure and improve the SME of the alloy.
