Abstract

Application of boltonite sand to lost foam casting has been described

especially features and physical changes in application of the boltonite sand were paid attention to. The using effects of the boltonite sand were evaluated. The results show that the consumption volume of the boltonite in per ton castings is decreased by 45% compared with that of SiO2 sand.
