Finite Element Simulation of Temperature Field in Semi-solid Thixoforming ZL112Y Aluminum Alloy Billets in Continuous Induction Heating
We have designed an experimental horizontal continuous induction reheating device based on semi-solid thixoforming principle. The simulation of temperature field in the ZL112Y aluminum alloy billets has been conducted with the ANASYS software with different heating power of three induction heating devices. The optimized heating power and heating time of different induction heating devices have been given for the process of heating from room temperature to semi-solid temperature of the billets.
