Wear Behaviors of Different CuZnAl Shape Memory Alloys with Varied Loads
Dry-sliding wear behaviors of two kinds of CuZnAl(RE) shape memory alloys(different transformation temperatures) after heat treatment have been examined in the conditions of different transformation temperatures
different loads for different wear periods
and the wear surface and debris have been observed by SEM and XRD.In addition
the comparison of the alloys with bronze and brass is conducted. The results show that the forging and grain refinement can improve the wear resistant of the CuZnAl(RE) SMA.Under dry sliding conditions
the wearability of martensite phase in CuZnAl(RE) SMA is higher than that of β phase. The wearability of the CuZnAl(RE) SMA treated by two grade aging is better than that of the ones treated by grade quenching.Meanwhile
the wear behavior of CuZnAl(RE) SMA is superior to that of bronze and brass. The wear mechanism of CuZnAl(RE) SMA is controlled by adhesion
