mechanical properties and electric properties of as-cast and cold worked Be-Ag-Cu alloy rod in directional continuous solidification have been investigated.Directional solidification Be-Ag-Cu alloy rod possesses continuous fibrous structure
which exhibits higher strength and plasticity as well as high electric conductivity compared with continuous directional solidification single crystal copper bar.Fracture morphology observation shows that the crack is characterized by transgranular ductile crack
showing peak-like in micro-fracture and oblates with many sliding lines in macro-fracture.The compact fibrous structure in the Be-Ag-Cu alloy rod can be observed
meanwhile the electric conductivity is slightly decreased and strength is greatly improved after severe plastic deformation.
