Microstructure and Properties of AZ91D Magnesium Alloy in Combination Process of Die Casting with Forging
The combination process of die casting with forging is a new forming method
which combines processing features of die casting with forging.Under the condition of the same processing parameters and with the help of orthogonal testing
AZ91D magnesium alloy samples were produced by the combination process of die casting with forging and by conventional die casting
respectively
which are treated by T6.And then
the mechanical properties and microstructure of samples were investigated.The results indicated that compared with that of samples by conventional die casting
the tensile strength and elongation of samples by combination process of die casting with forging are improved by 84.394% and by 101.761%
respectively
moreover
improved by 94.672% and by 121.617%
respectively after T6 heat treatment.Meanwhile
the finer grain size in microstructure can be observed in samples produced by combination process of die casting with forging.
