利用ProCAST软件对某铝合金轮毂新产品的多种工艺方案进行模拟分析。模拟结果显示
铝合金
轮辋与轮辐的肋部交接位置易出现"孤立熔池"现象
为此提出降低边模温度
同时设计了轮辐与轮辋交接处的冷却系统及相应的工艺参数。通过对多种工艺方案模拟结果的对比分析
证明改进后的工艺方案几乎不出现"孤立熔池"现象
且实现了顺序凝固的要求。将改进后的工艺方案投入试生产
产品抽检结果与模拟结果基本符合。
Abstract
The filling and solidification of an aluminum alloy wheel in low pressure die casting were simulated by the ProCAST software. The simulated results reveal that the liquid-entrapped area often occurs in the intersection of the wheel rib and collar rim. Based on above-mentioned results
the simulation was conducted again by adjusting cooling system and its parameters at the intersection of the wheel rib and collar rim and decreasing temperature of side mould. The simulated results show that the absence of liquid-entrapped in modified filing process can be observed due to the realization of sequential-solidification. The trial production verifies that the product is well in agreement with the simulated results.
