Wear Resistance of Hot Work Steel at Elevated Temperature for Magnesium Die Casting
DAC and self-developed TFHS-1 for magnesium die casting were examined by GWY-2000 high temperature wear tester.The results indicate that the oxidation wear is dominant in wear mechanism at a high temperature of 550 ℃ in the condition of dry abrasion
meanwhile minor adhesion wear and abrasive wear in the abrasive mechanism can be observed.The wear properties of TFHS-1 steel are superior to that of DIEVAR and DAC steel.In addition
the wear properties of TFHS-1 steel can be obviously improved with increasing tempering temperature
showing great effects of heat treatment on wear properties at an elevated temperature.
