Numerical Simulation of Filling Behavior in Lost Foam Casting
摘要
通过计算机仿真软件ProCAST对某车身覆盖件修边冲孔模模座的消失模铸造充型过程进行数值模拟
研究了消失模铸造的充填特性
并对比分析了消失模铸造和传统铸造充型过程的差异。模拟结果表明
消失模铸造存在着与传统铸造截然不同的充型过程
由于泡沫介质的存在
使金属液充型受阻
充型时间长
并且充型速度呈现周期性交替变化。
Abstract
The filling behavior of an automobile component in lost foam casting was simulated by the Procast software
and the difference of filling behavior between in lost foam casting and in common casting was described.The simulated results indicate that there exists sharp difference for filling process in lost foam casting and in common casting
in which the filling process needs a longer time as a result of the existence of the foam pattern restraining the filling of liquid metal
and the filling rate exhibits alternative change.
