    Abstract

    Microstructures of the Al-20Si-5Fe alloy perform and sprayed-form powder prepared by spray forming technology were observed by OM(optical microscope),SEM(scanning electron microscope)and XRD(x-ray diffraction).The formation mechanism of Fe-rich phase in Al-20Si-5Fe alloy during spray forming was analyzed by microstructure observation of sprayed form powder and perform.The formation of short rod-like Fe-rich phase in the perform is resulted from the fracture of acicular Fe-rich phase during deposited process.
