Movement and Forces Characteristics of Double-toggle Clamping Mechanism in Die Casting Machine
The movement and forces characteristics of double-toggle clamping mechanism in die casting machine were investigated including the relationship of geometry size and position of double-toggle clamping mechanism with mould plate stroke and its speed as well as the amplification ratio of clamping forces.The formulas for calculating the clamping stroke and the cylinder stroke and for estimating the amplification of clamping forces have been derived based on the movement principle of mechanism.The results reveal that the ratio of clamping stroke & cylinder speed and the amplification of clamping forces
which are two important factors of clamping mechanism
are closely related to the geometry dimension and position of double-toggle mechanism.
