The thermo-dynamics and crystal growth of in-situ synthesized TiB2 reinforcement were investigated in A356 Al/K2TiF6 +KBF4 mixed salt reaction system.The results indicate that the in-situ reaction temperature has affected significantly the final product in the system and morphology of TiB2 reinforcement.The TiAl3 phase in the composites can be totally disappeared and six-rowed granular TiB2 reinforcement can be generated with controlling reaction temperature of A356 Al/K2TiF6 +KBF4 mixed salt reaction system at 850 ℃
which is beneficial to improving the enhancing effects.
