Prevention and elimination ways of typical defects in squeezed aluminum alloy castings were approached by analyzing the origination and features of the defects.Sequential solidification of liquid metal from far-end to ingate and from key location to non-key location should be ensured as possible in design of squeezing casting and mould.The refinery and degassing of liquid metal should be strictly controlled to avoid the excessive hydrogen-absorption in holding.Slowly filling velocity should be adopted as possible to ensure the smooth filling of liquid metal and to restrain air-entrapped.The near eutectic alloy should be selected in squeezing casting process.The lower squeezing forces should be adopted as possible under the condition of ensuring sound microstructure.The holding time of liquid metal in holding furnace should be strictly controlled
