Wear Resistance of Die Casting Die of Cover Lid of Engine by Laser Treatment
The wear resistance of specimens with smooth and non-smooth surface was compared by processing the striate and reticulate non-smooth surfaces in different distributing distance on the 3Cr2W8V tool steel with laser treatment.The results show that the wear resistance of processed non-smooth surfaces is obviously superior to that of un-treated smooth surface.In addition
the wear resistance of reticulate non-smooth surface of the specimens is superior to that of striate ones.Furthermore
the wear resistance is improved with the decrease of distributed distance of non-smooth unit.The practical production verifies that the wear resistance and service life of the die casting die for cover lid of engine are significantly improved.
