Manufacturing of Magnesium Alloy Bullet Supporter by Semi-solid Squeezing Casting
The complicated magnesium alloy bullet supporter was manufactured by semi-solid extrusion method based on isothermal extrusion technology
in which semi-solid magnesium alloy billet was prepared by SIMA (strain induction melt activation). Billet dimension
heating temperature and heating time as well as extruded rate were determined in process of preparation of billet
re-melting and isothermal extrusion
and the mould for isothermal extrusion forming was designed. The average tensile strength and elongation of semi-solid isothermal-extruded magnesium alloy bullet supporter are 330 MPa and 7%
