Microstructure and Aging Hardening Properties of Cu-Be Alloy Prepared by Rapid Solidification with Single Roller
Microstructure and aging hardening behavior of Cu-Be alloy prepared by rapid solidification with single roller were investigated by XRD(X-ray diffraction)
ESEM and TEM. The results show that microstructure of the Cu-Be alloy is composed of supersaturated α phase
in which a large amount of nanoscale γ transition precipitated phase can be found
and fine island-shape β phase dispersed homogeneously in the matrix
exhibiting very fine equiaxed grain with size of 1
2
μm. Meanwhile
the hardness of the alloy is directly related to the aging precipitation process.
