Creep Mechanism of Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr(ZM6) Alloy at Ambient Temperature
Creep behavior of Mg-Nd-Zn-Zr(ZM6) alloy at 308 K was tested by a uniaxial tension method. The results show that with stress less than yield strength
creep rate is increased with increasing in stress. Creep rate and creep stress exponent were determined by analyzing relation of creep stress with time. Creep mechanism of the ZM6 alloy at ambient temperature is characterized by dislocation slipping. Datum plane slipping accompanying with few twins can be observed by TEM (transmission electron microscope) during creeping process.
