    Abstract

    Directional solidification structure of pure copper was observed based on ECAP through route A and Bc.The result reveals that with proceeding in deformation,continuously increased sliding band with interact cross can cut the initial sliding band to make coarse columnar grain further crush into two-dimensional cellar structure.Furthermore,the single grain copper was converted into uniformly distributed fine equiaxed grain by high density dislocation after multi-shearing and cross-sliding effects in passes of ECAP.In addition,the refining effect by route A is obviously superior to that of one by route BC.Tensile strengths of the pure copper with directional solidification structure are 420 MPa and 412 MPa,respectively,and elongations are 23.0% and 26.5%,respectively,with seven passes for route A and route BC.
