Abstract
Shrinkage porosity in low pressure casting aluminum alloy high-voltage electric apparatus base with average thickness of 6 mm and varied thickness can be eliminated by improving gating system to realize sequential solidification and by setting cold iron and cold copper as well as water chilling at defect position.The method can improve the quality of the base
so it can provide a reference to low pressure casting components with varied thickness.
