Abstract

Microstructural homogeneity in hypereutectic high Cr cast iron by semi-solid rheo-extrusion was investigated.The results show that size of primary carbide is increased with decreasing in particles per area and in shape coefficient in wheel samples at axial direction from the bottom to the top,exhibiting obvious imhomogeneity.However,the absence of obvious difference can be observed in average diameters of primary carbide,carbide particles in per area and shape coefficient in the samples at transverse direction from the edge to the heart,showing desirable microstructural homogeneity.
