    Abstract

    Effects of Ta, Zr on properties and microstructure of solid solution Ti alloy were investigated by analyzing Ti-ANb-Ta, Ti-ANb-BTa-Zr series alloys. Solid solution Ti-ANb-Ta, Ti-ANb-BTa-Zr series alloys exhibit lower elastic modulus in which the lowest value is 58 GPa and excellent plastic performance in which maximum value of elongation and contraction of area reach 32% and 80%, respectively. With increasing in Ta and Zr contents, tensile strength of the alloys is increased in range of 500700 MPa. Microstructure of the solid solution alloy is composed of residual β phase and acicular martensite α″, in which with increasing in Ta and Zr, residual β phase is increased with the decrease of acicular martensite α″.
