Influences of the curve numbers in a serpentine channel and pouring temperature on the microstructure of semi-solid A356 alloy slurry were investigated. With increasing in curve numbers in a serpentine channel
the microstructure of the semi-solid A356 aluminum alloy slurry becomes more and more desirable; however
the serpentine channel is easily blocked up with slurry. Desirable spheroidized structure in prepared semi-solid A356 aluminum alloy slurry can be observed with 1
