Effects of Magnesium on α→β Phase Transformation in Cu-Zn Alloy
in atom fraction)was prepared by ingot melting method.Effects of Mg content on melting point
phase transformation temperature and microstructural evolution of the alloy were investigated by OM(optical microscope)
differential thermal analyzer and X-ray diffractometer.The results indicate that with Mg content more than 4%
Cu2Mg phase can be observed in the CuZn(40-x)Mgx alloy.Phase transformation temperature and melting point of the alloy are decreased with increasing in Mg content.
