Thermal Deformation of Al2O3 Particulate Reinforced Aluminum Matrix Composites
Thermal deformation behavior of Al2O3 particulate reinforced aluminum matrix composites fabricated and pure Al were tested by compression with the Gleeble-1500 thermal simulator at different deformation temperature and different deformation rates.The results show that the flow stress is increased with decreasing in deformation temperature and increasing in deformation rates.Al matrix composites were greatly strengthened by Al2O3 particulate as a result of restraining dynamic recrystallization in the composites.
