Effects of Rolling Process on Microstructure and Properties of Twin Rolling-casting AZ61 Magnesium Alloy Strip
Abstract
Effects of different hot rolling processing parameters on microstructure and mechanical properties of twin rolling-casting AZ61 magnesium alloy strip were investigated. The results indicate that with hot rolling at 400℃
the grain size in the microstructure of the rolling-casting AZ61 magnesium alloy is refined as a result of the increase of recrystallization with increasing in reduction. In addition
with increasing rolling temperature
twin crystal is reduced and recrystallization is increased in the microstructure
resulting in the refinement and uniform distribution of grain. The sheets exhibit desirable mechanical properties with hot rolling at 400 ℃ to 1.5 mm in thickness.
