Influence of Boron on the Microstructure of Zr Containing Aluminum Alloy
Effects of B addition on morphology and phase constituent of Zr in the aluminum alloy and its working mechanism were described. The results reveal that some Zr is converted from solid solution phase into fine secondary platelet existing in grain and on grain boundary with B addition
which is beneficial for the improvement of electric conductivity of the A356 alloy by reducing the lattice distortion and improving the orderly degree of Al matrix.
