Thermal Cycling Simulation of Die Casting Die for Aluminum Alloy Speed Governor Cover
摘要
利用ProCAST软件对铝合金调速器盖压铸模具工作时的热循环进行数值模拟。模拟结果发现
模具稳定工作时的温度及取件时的温度均偏高。经过多次热循环模拟
不断调整循环参数
最后将循环周期从60s调整为80s。结果表明
模具稳定工作时的最高温度由340℃降低到300℃以下
平均温度下降约20℃
模具工作温度及取件温度均降低到允许的温度范围之内
计算结果与实际生产现场的参数调整后结果相吻合。
Abstract
Thermal cycling of die casting die for aluminum alloy speed governor cover was simulated by the ProCAST software.The simulated results indicate that temperature in the die during steady operation stage and temperature during castings-picked out exhibit higher.Cycling parameters were optimized from 60 s per cycling period to 80 s per cycling period by thermal cycling simulation.It is found that the maximum temperature in the die during steady operation stage is decreased from 340℃ to below 300℃
decreased by approximately 20℃ in average temperature
and both die operation temperature and castings-picked-out temperature are decreased to a desirable temperature range.The simulated results are well in agreement with practical ones.
