    Abstract

    Effects of processing parameters on macro-appearance of high Si aluminum alloy during frictional stirring process were investigated in condition of preheating samples.Stirring friction on the Al-30Si alloy samples preheated at 150,300,450 ℃,respectively,was conducted with stirring tool at different rotating velocity.The results show that surface macro-appearance of high Si aluminum alloy is closely related to elevated frictional stirring parameters.Preheating temperature for the samples should be appropriately matched with rotating velocity,where high preheating temperature should be matched with lower rotating velocity or lower preheating temperature should be matched with higher rotating velocity,otherwise,grooves defects could be observed in the samples.
