Microstructure and Properties of Particle Reinforced Aluminum Alloy Composites Brake Discs
wear resistance and hardness of the five brake discs which were produced by three kinds of composites at different processing conditions
such as different pouring temperatures
mould temperatures and rotating velocities of centrifugal machine
were comparatively analyzed in as-cast
T4 and T6 treatment composite in order to provide the most suitable materials and forming process for brake disc. The results indicate that Al-21Si-5Mg-1Cu-1Ni-0.2Ti-0.4Mn alloy which is poured at 757℃ into permanent mold with 100 ℃ and 400 r/min exhibits a better wear resistance and hardness of HRB89.6
