Grain Refining Effects of Mn-30Al Master Alloy on Magnesium Alloy
The master alloy Mn-30Al containing ε-AlMn phase and the Mn-30Al alloy containing γ2-Al8Mn5 phase were prepared by vacuum quenching furnace
and microstructure of two kinds of master alloys were observed
meanwhile
effects of ε-AlMn phase
γ2-Al8Mn5 phase
Mn and Al on grain refinement of magnesium alloy were analyzed.The results reveal that refining effects of Mn-30Al master alloy containing ε-AlMn phase on the magnesium alloy are obviously superior to Mn-30Al alloy containing γ2-Al8Mn5 phase
