Effects of B on Microstructure and Properties of White Copper Alloys
Effects of B modification treatment on as-cast microstructure
mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of Cu-Ni white copper alloy in simulated sea water were investigated. The results reveal that B element can greatly improve the plasticity
strength and hardness of the white copper alloy as a result of remarkably refining as-cast microstructure. Meanwhile
corrosion resistance of the Cu-Ni while copper alloy is improved also with B addition
which is attributed to the generation of compound beneficial for improving compactness of oxide film in corrosion product to further restrain the corrosion behavior.
