Free-cutting mechanism of Pb in the copper alloy and progress in free-cutting copper alloy with lead-free were surveyed
focusing on the feasibility and existing problems in free-cutting copper alloy with Bi. Microstructure and cutting experiment of a self-developed free-cutting copper alloy containing Mg and Sb as wellas lead-free were analyzed by SEM and EDS as well as cutting testing. Developing future of free-cutting copper alloy with lead-free was expounded
and research in enlarging mixed-addition in substituting lead was enhanced.
