Abstract
Ultrasonic field was introduced into 7050 aluminum alloy melt in the semi-continuous casting to investigate effects of ultrasonic treatment on the quality of 7050 ingot.The results reveal that quality of 7050 ingot is greatly improved by introducing ultrasonic field
in which grain size is refined and is equiaxed with decreasing in gas hole
leading to increasing in tensile strength and restraining in crack.The experimental results verify that ultrasonic filed can effectively improve the quality of 7050 aluminum alloy ingot
which provides a reference to industrial production of large 7050 aluminum alloy ingot.
