Interfacial reactive layers between Ti-47Al-2Cr-2Nb-xTiB2 alloys and Al2O3 ceramic molds were fabricated.With the help of SEM(scanning electron microscope)
interfacial reactive behaviors between three kinds of TiAl based alloys and Al2O3 ceramic molds were analyzed comparatively.The results reveal that the interfacial reaction of TiAl alloy melt with Al2O3 ceramic molds can be effectively relieved by adding TiB2.The interfacial reactive mechanism was characterized by an imbalanced diffusive chemical reaction
and the corresponding reaction model is established.
