Elevated Mechanical Properties of Modified Al-Si Casting Alloy
Modified Al-Si casting alloy was prepared by adding alloying elements
such as Cu
Ni
Mn
V
RE
and elevated mechanical properties of the alloy were analyzed.It is found that elevated mechanical properties of the alloy are improved as a result of creation of Al2Cu phase
Al7(FeMnSi)3 phase
Al6Cu3Ni and AlxV3CuRE phase in the microstructure
greatly raising the service temperature.In addition
the preparation technology exhibits the features of simple and low cost.
