Hot Compression Deformation Behavior of Mg-11.8Gd-2.8Y-0.44Zr Magnesium Alloy
The compression deformation of Mg-11.8Gd2.8Y-0.44Zr magnesium alloy and its microstructure were investigated on the Gleeble-1500Dhot simulator with strain rate of 0.001s-1~0.1s-1 at 300~450℃in condition of the 60%deformation rate.The relationship between flow stress and deformation temperature was analyzed.The results reveal that the steady flow stress is increased with the increase of strain rate
while the true stress is decreased with increasing in deformation temperature at a constant strain rate.Temperature about 350℃is suggested for hot deformation of the alloy.
