Effects of Out-phase Electromagnetic Field on Surface Quality and Microstructure of HDC (Horizontal Direction Casting) Al 6063 Ingot
6063aluminum alloy ingot with 100mm in diameters was prepared by out-phase magnetic filed HDC casting.Effects of out-phase magnetic field on surface quality and microstructure of HDC 6063Al aluminum alloy ingot were investigated by macro-structure observation and OM(optical microscope)analysis.It is verified that out-phase can greatly improve the surface quality of HDC 6063aluminum alloy ingot and decrease the thickness of inner structure.In addition
finer and homogeneous grain can be observed in section of HDC 6063aluminum alloy ingot as a result of obviously improving the microstructure in ingot by out-phase magnetic field.
