也要满足作为生物材料所要求的生物相容性

无过敏、致畸、无毒性反应、无免疫原性

Current metallic materials for piercing jewelry were introduced including stainless steel

Ti alloy

Co alloy

copper alloy

gold alloy

silver alloy

platinum alloy

etc. The characteristics of these materials and possible problems in piercing circumstances were discussed

and countermeasures and future tendency were analyzed. Metallic materials for piercing jewelry should at least meet the requirements from two aspects

one was the ornament and manufacturing performance as jewelry

the other was the biocompatibility as biomaterials including allergy-free

deformation-free

no toxicity and no immunogenicity as well as certain anti-bacterial effects under piercing circumstance.
