Performance Improvement of Ceramic-lined Steel Pipes by Centrifugal-SHS Process
Ceramic-lined steel pipes were prepared by centrifugal-SHS technology
and effects of 4% ZrO2+5%SiO2 and varied Na2B4O7 in thermite on microstructure and properties of composite steel pipe were investigated. XRD analysis shows that the ceramic layer is mainly composed of α-Al2O3
FeAl2O4
Al2SiO5 and ZrO2. OM observation verifies that grain is densely distributed on the surface of ceramic layer. SEM observation shows that there exists low porosity in the ceramic layer
and relative density reaches up to 96.8%. Mechanical properties of the composite steel pipe were tested by electron universal tester. The results show that crushing strength and shearing strength reach 394MPa and 23.14MPa
