Effects of Ways of Adding Ti and B on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of A356 Alloy
effects of different Ti and B adding ways on microstructure and mechanical properties of A356 alloy were investigated.The results show that the primary dendrite size in A356 alloy refined with Ti by electrolysis is smaller than that refined with Ti by melting Al-Ti master alloy or K2TiF6
and refining effects on A356 alloy by composite Ti and B is superior to that by only Ti.Tensile strength
yield strength and elongation of the A356 alloy refined by composite Ti and B are slightly higher than those refined by only Ti.Although effects of adding Ti and B ways on the strength of A356 alloy can be ignored
it exhibits great effects on plasticity.Strength of A356 alloy refined by electrolyte Ti is near to that refined by melting Al-Ti master alloys
and it is higher than that reined by K2TiF6
however
elongation is greatly higher than those by melting Al-Ti master alloy and by K2TiF6.
