Effects of Y on Glass Forming Ability and Corrosion Resistance of Cu-based Amorphous Alloys
5)alloy samples were prepared by copper mold suction casting method.The structure
glass forming ability and corrosion resistance of the samples were investigated by XRD(X-ray diffraction)
OM(optical microscope)
DSC(differential scanning calorimetry)
DTA and potentiodynamic polarization.The results reveal that proper Y addition can effectively improve the thermal stability and glass forming ability(GFA)of the Cu-Zr Al amorphous alloy.With 3% Y content
the width of super-cooled region is 64 K
and approximate glass transition temperature is 0.601
and γ is 0.409.Corrosion resistance of the amorphous alloy is decreased with increasing in Y addition in 3.5% NaCl solution.
