AA6022 aluminum alloy containing Sc was prepared by casting combining with forging process.Effects of minor Sc and aging process on microstructure and properties of the alloy were analyzed by XRD(X-ray diffraction),OM(optical microscope)and SEM(scanning electron microscope)as well as tensile testing. The results show that grain size in the alloy can be obviously refined with 0.15%~0.3% Sc addition, and average grain size is decreased from 323μm to 31μm.Tensile testing results reveal that elongation of the alloy is obviously improved with slight increase of tensile strength with Sc addition after natural aging process(T4 state). However, with holding at 175℃ for 30min,strengthening baking effect is not improved with decreasing in elongation. With peak aging treatment at 180℃ for 10h,effects of minor Scon strength of the alloy can be ignored, however, plasticity is greatly improved.
