Working Conditions of 7B50 Aluminum during Hot Compression Deformation
The flow stress behavior of 7B50 aluminum alloy was investigated at 300 ~ 460 ℃ and strain rates of 0.001~1 s-1 on the Gleeble-1500 thermal simulator. The results show that the flow stress is decreased with increasing in deforming temperature and increased with increasing in strain rate.Deformation temperature of 380~460 ℃ and the strain rate of 0.1~1 s-1 are the acceptable processing parameters.Partial recystallization occurs in the alloys deformed at a high temperature or at a low strain rate
and large number of dislocations and subgrains are observed in the alloy. The subgrain size is increased and the dislocation density is decreased with increasing in temperature and decreasing in strain rate. The main soften mechanism of the alloy is characterized by dynamic recovery to dynamic recrystallization.
