Effects of Double Power Ultrasonic Vibration Heads on Microstructure of Semi-Solid A356 Aluminum Alloy
We have developed an interlacing type double power ultrasonic vibration heads equipment to treat A356 aluminum alloy melt to obtain semi-solid slurry.Effects of different pouring temperature and different inclined angle of flow runner as well as front and back arrangement of flow runner of ultrasonic transducer with 1000W and 1500W on microstructure of semi-solid A356 alloy slurry were investigated.The results show that obvious refinement of microstructure of A356 alloy can be observed by double ultrasonic vibration heads with inclined runner
however
refinement of microstructure of A356 alloy is changed with different inclined angles.The desirable primary phase size with desirable spheroidized effects can be obtained with vibrating at 620 ℃ and inclined angle of 40°.
