Effect of Double Power Ultrasound Vibration Heads on Semi-solid Structure of 5083 Alloy
we have developed a V-shaped subtended double power ultrasound vibration heads treatment device to understand effects of pouring temperature and inclined angle of flow channel on the microstructure refinement of semi-solid 5083 alloy.The results show that power ultrasound can refine significantly microstructure of 5083 alloy structure.With a fixed inclined-angle
the grain size and morphology are refined with uniform distribution in the alloy with increasing in pouring temperature(the selected range of experiment).In addition
with the inclined angle of 20° which is selected in three pouring angle(10°
20°
30°)
the desirable refinement in microstructure of 5083 alloy can be observed.
