Abstract

Tensile strength and elongation of ZL205A purified by electro slag were measured with universal mechanical testing machine.The results show that tensile strength and elongation of ZL205A after purification are decreased greatly.The chemical composition of the sample purified was analyzed by direct-reading spectrometer.The results indicate that Ti content is decreased by approximately 48% in purified ZL205A.Through adding Al-Ti master alloy in purified aluminum melt,tensile strength reaches up to 486.29MPa,which is equal to that of the alloy before purification treatment,and elongation is 11%,increased by 100%.
