Numerical Simulation of Low Pressure Casting Faucet Body
摘要
利用ProCast软件研究了铜合金出水器(水龙头)本体低压铸造充型和凝固过程
获得了该产品低压铸造过程温度场、流场的分布。模拟结果显示
初始方案存在着明显的浇不足现象
数值模拟结果与实际浇注结果基本符合。根据理论分析与试验验证
改进了工艺方案
在铸件率先凝固的中间部位局部加厚
实现顺序凝固;增加浇口尺寸
加大金属液流量;在浇不足部位加大冒口尺寸以增大排气量。对改进的工艺方案重新进行数值模拟
结果显示
改进方案消除了产品的浇不足缺陷
可以显著降低铸件的废品率。
Abstract
Filling and solidification process of low pressure casting Cu alloy faucet body were simulated by the Procast software to observe the distribution of temperature field and flow field.The simulated results show there exist apparently misrun defects in the initial design
which is accordant with the practical produced ones.Based on the theoretical analysis and experimental validation
modified design was presented such as partial thickness-increment at middle location of solidification ahead to complete sequential solidification
and the increase of flow by enlarge ingate size as well as the increase of exhaustion by increasing riser size at misrun location.The simulation of the modified design was conducted.The results reveal that the misrun in the faucet body can be eliminated
