Shrinkage porosity in metal mold gravity casting aluminum alloy motorcycle wheels was predicted with the help of Niyama criterion.The factors influencing shrinkage porosity(holes) were approached based on the Niyama criterion G/R
and the countermeasures were presented to reduce or eliminate the tendency of shrinkage porosity in the aluminum alloy wheel.
