Research was made on hydration and gelation of plaster

expansion and strengthening of plaster gel in accordance with the requirement of art casting.The cracking tendency and bending strength were tested. The calcining of plaster mold is significant.The temperature field of plaster mold under one-dimansional thermal conduction using heating method was recorded and temperature conductivity awas calculated. It is emphasized that plaster mold ingredient and process should be designed on the basis of peculiarity of art articles. Several process examples of art and sculpture also are shown in this paper.
