Abstract
Influence of the alloying elements
especially Ag addition on the properties of typical Mg alloy ZM5 is studied in order to improve mechanical and cast properties of Mg alloy. The composition and proportion of the new Mg alloy GQMZ96 are optimized by the method of orthogonal experiment based on above study. The Mg alloy has the higher mechanical and cast properties as compared with conventional Mg alloy at home and abroad and the broad prospects.
